Four concerts of new music while we wait for the highSCORE Festival 2011

On June 11, 15, 16 and 17 four concerts of contemporary and new music in Pavia. On the 11th the contemporary electric rock band “Controfase” will play at Santa Maria Gualtieri (9pm). On the 15th, 16th and 17th guitarist Flavio Virzì will play classical and electric guitar and electric bass at Castello Visconteo (9pm) both as soloist and with Quartetto Indaco. New music for electric guitar and string quartet by Giovanni Albini, Jenny Beck (highSCORE Prize winner 2011), Mark Buller, Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer and Jeremy Vaughan that will also be published in July in the first highSCORE CD, “Quintets”. There will also be a preview of the highSCORE Festival: “Conga Funk”, for electric bass by participant composer Marie Incontrera.
